Media Advisory: AthletesCAN takes on CN Tower Stair Climb to raise funds for United Way
AthletesCAN is taking on the 2009 Enbridge CN Tower Stair Climb with a fantastic team of Canada’s top high performance athletes to raise awareness and funds for the United Way.
“AthletesCAN has recently launched an Athlete Social Responsibility initiative to connect passionate high performance athletes with great causes and organizations regionally, nationally and internationally,” says Andrew Nisker, President of AthletesCAN. “Athletes achieve success through dedication and hard work, but also with the great support of their friends, family and country. The goal of this program is to create a sport culture of “giving back”, both on and off the field to promote positive growth through sport in communities across Canada. We believe the United Way values are a great fit with this program as they too are striving to strengthen communities and improve quality of life for Canadians.”
