An athlete’s travel, training and competition schedule is hectic. Staying connected to people and accessing information while remaining focused on performance can be challenging. Through the program, Bell provides more than 2,000 Canadian athletes annually with access to free cell phones, air time and internet service.

With Athletes Connect – Mobility, athletes can stay in touch with their coaches, fellow athletes, friends and family over the phone through voice, SMS text messaging and mobile video.

And with Athletes Connect – Sympatico, athletes have access to high-speed Internet service, e-mail and all the latest technologies available on the web, allowing them to stay connected to those that matter most, create customized nutrition or training diaries, build personal blog sites, research upcoming competitions, download videos and much more.

Initiated in 1997 in partnership with AthletesCAN, the Athletes Connect program offers comprehensive telecommunications services to Canada’s senior national team athletes currently competing at the Olympic, Paralympic and senior World Championship level.
